National record holder Anuradha Biswal of Orissa satisfied herself with the silver medal in women’s 100 metre hurdles event of the 49th Open National Athletics Championship at TT Stadium, Bhopal (MP) today.
Nalco athlete Anuradha, who had established the National record of 13.38 seconds at New Delhi on September 8, 2002, clocked 14.15 seconds, while Tamil Nadu’s G Gayathri won the gold with a timing of 13.98 seconds.
Among other Orissa athletes, Renubala Mahanta finished seventh in women’s long jump with a leap of 5.75 metres and Rabi Das ended 12th in men’s long jump with a distance of 6.94 metres.
